August 15 and August 31 will see the commissioning of the airport&#8217;s initial section. According to reports, Mopa, which was created by GMR <a href=\"https:\/\/www.propertypistol.com\/blog\/heres-all-about-goa-housing-board\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.propertypistol.com\/blog\/heres-all-about-goa-housing-board\/\">Goa<\/a> International Airport Limited (GGIAL) in collaboration with the Goan government, would ease traffic congestion at Dabolim, the smallest alternate airport in Goa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>According to the reliable website of GGIAL, Mopa is prepared to be a full-service airport that serves domestic and international travelers along with freight services. It is planned to grow in several distinct phases before being scaled up in response to the increasing visitor demands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first section consists of a single, three-and-a-half kilometer runway, along with facilities such as a passenger terminal building, a runway, taxiways, quick exit ways, an air-visitors control, a shipment terminal and ancillary, an authority hangar, plane rescue, and firefighting services, flight catering, and parking in addition to scheduled and emergency services. According to a reliable masterplan for the airport created by the Department of Civil Aviation, the configuration of the airport will allow for future enlargement of the runway and taxiways if necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airport is planned to be equipped from the start to handle more than 5 million passengers annually. This range is predicted to increase to as much as eleven million by the time the project is completed. On August 15, 2022, the 76th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will formally open the airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, Sawant stated that &#8220;GGIAL-trained labor can be engaged at the airport as part of an agreement with the national government. The country government, in collaboration with the GGIAL, is committed to creating the qualified people and resources necessary for the facility. In addition to the current personnel recruited for the project, 1,000 further recruitments can be carried out at the airport during the next six months.
