They prefer a sunny location, but can tolerate some shade. To plant the tree, dig a hole that is twice as wide and just as deep as the root ball. Place the tree in the hole, making sure that the top of the root ball is level with the surrounding soil. Backfill the hole with soil, and then water the tree well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Amla trees require regular watering, but should not be over-watered. It&#8217;s best to wait until the soil is dry before watering again. Fertilize the tree with a balanced fertilizer once a month during the growing season. Prune the tree to shape it and to remove any damaged or diseased branches. The tree should be pruned during the dormant season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Insects and disease are not a major problem for the Amla tree. However, the tree can be affected by powdery mildew, leaf spot, and fruit rot. To prevent these issues, make sure the tree is planted in a location with good air circulation and keep the area around the tree free of debris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Harvest the fruit when it turns yellow-green.
