It is a part of the Bharatmala Pariyojana, a government initiative to develop national highways and expressways across India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>The expressway has been built in two phases. The first phase, which is 227 kilometers long, was completed and opened to traffic in August 2022. The second phase, which is 86 kilometers long, is currently under construction and is expected to be completed by March 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The expressway starts from Ambala and passes through the districts of Yamunanagar, Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Mahendragarh, and Rewari in Haryana, and the district of Alwar in Rajasthan. It terminates at Kotputli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The distance between Ambala and Kotputli via the expressway is 250 kilometers. The travel time on the expressway is expected to be around 3 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The expressway has several features that make it a safe and convenient road to travel on. These features include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Six lanes with a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour.<\/li><li>Wide medians and shoulders.<\/li><li>Intelligent traffic management system.<\/li><li>Emergency call boxes at regular intervals.<\/li><li>Rest areas and amenities for motorists.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ambala Kotputli Expressway is a major infrastructure project that will boost economic development in the region.
