The order was to implement the said proposal on a pilot basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Delhi government mentioned that, until further orders, Unique Property Identification Code (UPIC) is to be used by all the sub-registrars in the nearby areas under the EDMC jurisdiction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vikas Anand, the commissioner of <strong>East Delhi<\/strong> Municipal Corporation said that they would be the first to implement the project in the city. Along with property registration of <strong>real estate<\/strong>, the <strong>Unique Property Identification Code (UPIC) <\/strong>would be needed for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.propertypistol.com\/blog\/everything-to-know-about-rental-agreement-process\/\">rent agreement <\/a>through the revenue department, obtaining licenses (veterinary trade, factory, general trade, health, etc), and mutation. The people who are not intentionally submitting their property tax or are not liable to submit it will get covered from now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.propertypistol.com\/blog\/impact-of-jewar-international-airport-on-noida-property-market\/\">Delhi<\/a> government would incorporate the details of people, their status, properties, etc online and would bring them under the tax net. The chief secretary was requested by the <strong>East Delhi <\/strong>Municipal Corporation to implement the project. A similar appeal was made by the other two civic bodies earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The National Informatics Centre has designed this portal. The<strong> East Delhi<\/strong> Municipal Corporation official said that no technical issue will be caused while capturing the<strong> Unique Property Identification Code (UPIC) <\/strong>in the software.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The UPIC number will facilitate the identification of non-testamentary documents that are related to immovable property, as such documents won&#8217;t be accepted unless they contain a description of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/propertypistol.com\/\">real estate<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The online payment of property tax was made mandatory by the <strong>East Delhi <\/strong>Municipal Corporation (EDMC). The UPIC number was dispatched to 4.5 lakh properties as it was used to pay the property tax.
