After Ranchi&#8217;s\nBirsa Munda International Airport, this will be the state&#8217;s second airport. It\nshould be operational by the end of the year. The\nairport will include six check-in desks and two arrival belts, with a capacity\nof roughly 200 passengers per hour. The Deoghar Airport would include Adivasi\nartwork, local handicrafts, and key tourism spots to highlight the state&#8217;s\nculture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nrunway will be extended up to 2,500 metres in length and 45 metres in width, as\nplanned, as part of the development work. A transportable air traffic control\nroom, an apron for A320 aircraft, taxiways, and isolation bays will all be\navailable at the airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On an existing airstrip\nnear Kunda, the Deoghar Airport is being constructed as a commercial airport.\nThe AAI estimates that the above-mentioned modifications will cost Rs 400\ncrore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Deoghar_Airport_is_at_a_strategic_position\"><\/span><strong>Deoghar Airport is at a\nstrategic position.<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The Kunda Deoghar Airport,\nlocated in Jharkhand&#8217;s north-eastern region, will be well-connected to the rest\nof the nation, boosting tourism, creating jobs, and boosting the region&#8217;s\noverall economic growth. &#8220;It will give aviation connection to the Santhal\nregion and would also help the people of Patna, Banka, Khagaria, Munger,\nSheikhpura, Bhagalpur, and Jamui in Bihar,&#8221; Hardeep Singh Puri, former\nCivil Aviation Minister, tweeted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Landmark_areas_near_Kunda_Deoghar_Airport\"><\/span><strong>Landmark areas near Kunda\nDeoghar Airport.<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The Kunda Deoghar Airport\nis close to the National Highway-114A, the Baidyanathdham Deoghar Railway\nStation, and the Baidyanath Temple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Deoghar_Airport_Updates\"><\/span><strong>Deoghar Airport Updates<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>According\nto rumours, the airport would be operational in the second half of 2021,\nhowever there are no official confirmations as of yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Flight operations would recommence in the first week of November, according to former Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. After viewing the airport site, he stated that while work on the runway had been completed, work on the terminal building was scheduled to be completed by December.
