He is not a tenant in the sense that a renter pays the owner of the property rent for the use of a room, building, or land. As a result, the lease is the only thing that distinguishes a tenant from a lessee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In exchange for monthly rent and a security deposit, a lessee is granted permission to utilize the landlord&#8217;s property. Because all sorts of renting in the West \u2013 residential and commercial \u2013\nare based on leases, the term &#8216;leasing&#8217; is commonly used. However, in India,\n&#8216;lease&#8217; refers to the rental of commercial premises, while renting refers to\nthe renting of residential homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, they aren&#8217;t just two\nterms that mean the same thing. Leasing a property differs from renting a\nproperty under a leave-and-license arrangement from a legal standpoint. In a\nlease agreement, the lessee and lessor are the two major parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is prohibited to charge rent above the regular rate in locations where the Act&#8217;s restrictions apply.
