Bhiwandi is a city in Maharashtra, India, located in the Thane district of the Konkan division. It lies 20 kilometers (12 miles) northeast of Mumbai and 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) northeast of Thane. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region encompasses the city. Bhiwandi is a well-known logistics and textiles hub. It is a well-connected Maharashtra region with easy access to Mumbai Central, Thane, Kalyan, Vasai, Wada, Borivali, Nasik, Aurangabad, and Pune. The area is mostly populated by minorities, yet it has evolved into a secular metropolis as a result of infrastructural and industrial growth. Many well-known real estate developers, such as TATA Realty, Kalpatru, Arihant, and some smaller local developers, are joining the market. The Woods, Shree Siddhivinayak, and Silver Park Residency are some of Bhiwandi’s most notable residential developments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Koli and Konkani peoples, who\nresided along the Konkan Seashore, were the first to settle in Bhiwandi.\nBhiwandi had a spice port on the Kamwadi River in the early 16th century, which\nis today Bunder Mohalla. The city of Bhiwandi was known as Islamabad during the\nrule of the Moghul Empire. Islamabad Masjid and Eidgah are two mosques in the\narea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
