Dvg Road, Mohammedan Block, and Gandhibazar are some of the nearby neighborhoods. It was named after the famed Bull Temple (Nandi) in Kannada, where Basava means Bull and Gudi means Temple. It is a green neighborhood with prestigious institutions, bustling marketplaces, several parks with ancient trees, little lakes, and a diverse range of unusual eateries. Villas, independent dwellings, and ancestral buildings may be found in the region. Bengaluru city railway station (5.8 km) and\nNayandahalli railway station are the closest train stations (7.8 km). The\nnearest metro station to Basavangudi is National College, which is on the green\nline.
