The Adyar River flows through Saidapet. Some of the closest residential areas to Saidapet are Karpaga Vinayak Nagar, CIT Nagar West, Ambedkar Nagar, Guindy, and Kalaimagal Nagar. These are within a 3- to 4-kilometer radius. Saidapet has a decent mix of single-family homes and multi-story apartment buildings.
