When visiting Dubai, there are a few important street safety requirements that you should be aware of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>In\nDubai, the minimum age for breaking the law is eighteen years old. Before\nreaching 21, drivers must renew their licenses&nbsp;every year, and then every\n10 years after that.<\/li><li>Drivers\nmust have a valid UAE driver&#8217;s license, as well as the necessary insurance and\nregistration paperwork, with them at all times. In the case of industrial\nvehicles, the driver must also have the necessary permits and approvals.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:-1px\">In general, city areas have speed limits of 60-80\nkm\/h, highways have speed limits of 100-120 km\/h, while residential areas have\nspeed limits of 40 km\/h.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If drivers are caught breaking speed restrictions by\nmore than 60 kmph, they would be fined AED 2000 and their vehicle will be\nimpounded for 30 days. For purposely racing or irresponsible use, an equivalent\nfirst-rate might be seen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>It&#8217;s\ncritical to remember that minimal velocity limitations are just as important\nand rigidly enforced as maximum velocity limits. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Dubai&#8217;s highways are vast, with a diverse range of\nvehicles, including large four-wheelers and sports automobiles. Driving too\nslowly is likely to cause inconvenience to other road users and may even result\nin an accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Seat belts are required for all passengers in the vehicle, including youngsters. A toddler protective belt is required for children under the age of four.<\/li><li>Drunk driving is considered a serious felony charge, and those found guilty may suffer the loss of their driver&#8217;s license and insurance coverage, as well as a large fine assessed by the court.<\/li><li>The passenger in the front seat must be at least 10 years old and stand at least 145 cm tall for safety reasons.<\/li><li>Drivers must maintain a safe following distance and follow the three 2d rules- their vehicle must be three seconds apart from the sole vehicle in front. Tailgating is considered an infraction and can tempt a first-rate player.<\/li><li>Overtaking is fairly common in Dubai, and it happens from all sides of the road. Make ensuring that the back and side view mirrors are working, and keep an eye out for approaching cars.
