This page contains everything you need to know about DUSIB and its activities. Under the Slum Improvement and Clearance Areas Act of 1956, the DUSIB has the authority to declare any area a slum. Homes and\/or locations that can be considered unfit for human occupancy are designated as slum regions under Section three of the Act. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These are classified as prison\nsystems and are therefore eligible for benefits under the Act. Squatters in\njhuggi jhopri (JJ) Cluster settlements, on the other hand, are considered\nencroachments on public or private lands, and hence visible as illegal. No\nclean encroachment of public land is permitted under the new criteria. Without\ngiving alternatives, past encroachments in life before January 31, 1990, cannot\nbe erased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligibility norms and circumstances for DUSIB allocation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The beneficiary must be at least 18 years\nold and an Indian citizen.<\/li><li>The annual earnings of a JJ resident&#8217;s\ncircle of relatives must now not exceed Rs 60,000 per annum.<\/li><li>The name of a JJ resident must be provided\nas part of a joint biometric survey conducted by the land proudly holding\ncompany and the DUSIB.<\/li><li>Regardless of how many jhuggis a JJ\noccupant has, he or she may only be entitled to one residential unit. If the\njhuggi is used for industrial purposes, no flat will be assigned.<\/li><li>Instead of jhuggis being used for both\nresidential and industrial purposes, one residential apartment might be given.<\/li><li>For a multi-story jhuggi used for\nresidential purposes, allotment will handiest accept the occupant of the level\nfloor if the same man or woman or exclusive persons are used.<\/li><li>If a JJ inmate dies after the survey, but\nhis or her prison heirs possess the jhuggi, have all of the relevant\ndocumentation, and match the other qualifying criteria, his or her\nwidow\/widower may be considered for a flat.<\/li><li>The DUSIB will assign the flat on a\nlicense basis, with a 15-year initial term that can be extended. With the ownership of the flat, he or she is\nunable to lease out an element.<\/li><li>The licensee is only allowed to utilize\nthe unit for domestic purposes.<\/li><li>If the allottee violates the agreed terms\nand conditions, the DUSIB can revoke the assignment and take over ownership of\nthe property without having to pay any money.<\/li><li>If the equivalent has been obtained\nthrough misrepresentation, fraud, concealment of facts, or the use of\ngenerating fake files, etc., the allotment will be annulled and no repayment\nwill be made.
