It has a lot of clean and potable groundwater, which has been one of the most sought-after attributes in the real estate market since the Chennai Water Crisis began. But, other than that, what makes Mangadu such a desirable place to look for a home?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Tamil, the word ‘Mangadu’ means ‘Mango Forest,’ implying that the territory would soon resemble a mango grove. While that may no longer be the case, Mangadu still contains large areas of wild vegetation, as well as several well-kept gardens and parks linked to a variety of efforts by environmentally conscious real estate developers. Altis Ashraya in Mangadu has an open area that is 80 percent undeveloped, ensuring an undeveloped environment for residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mangadu, which is only 13 kilometers from the Chennai International Airport and 19 kilometers from the Chennai Central Railway Station, has the bonus of being close to Pallavaram, Kudrathur, Poonamallee, Porur, Iyyappanthangal, Maduravoyal, and Ekkatuthangal, among other places. There are also regular MTC buses that run between Mangadu and Guindy, as well as other major metropolitan centers. Mangadu’s existing excellent accessibility will be further enhanced by the planned Kumanan Chavadi Metro Station (CMRL Phase II).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s time to rejoice for the devout families that visit the temple at least once a week! One of Mangadu’s most popular tourist attractions is the centuries-old Mangadu Kamakshi Amman Kovil. The god worshipped at this hallowed temple is said to possess amazing abilities, and the Chola-style architecture is a feast for the eyes. Altis Ashraya is located within walking distance of the temple, allowing its residents to easily incorporate a walk to the temple into their daily morning workouts. Mangadu is also home to several other temples, churches, and mosques, none of which are as old or mythical as the Kamakshi Amman, but all of which are equally beautiful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mangadu is only a 10-minute drive from Porur, yet it has a significant drop in real-estate pricing and demand. It’s a pleasant tradeoff to make when you suspect a 10-minute extra effort each day vs. paying appropriately over 5000 more following sqft. You may have your cake and eat it, too, by purchasing a low-cost condominium in Mangadu, which is only a short distance away from the opulent and unexpectedly aggressive real estate markets of Porur and Poonamallee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
