A Mamlatdar is a government employee who oversees a taluka’s management in the Indian state of Gujarat. A taluka, sometimes spelled taluk or tehsil, is a subdistrict in the state that includes several settlements. The Mamlatdar is in charge of managing the taluka’s administrative tasks as well as upholding law and order.
