CIDCO extends registration deadline for mass housing scheme to 10 March 2022

The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO), the Maharashtra government’s town planning authority, has recently granted an extension for the online registration of Mass Housing Scheme 2022 until March 10, 2022, based on multiple requests from the citizens.

Similarly, the deadline for the payment of fees and EMD amount, and the computerized draw has also been extended.

Sanjay Mukherjee, Vice-Chairman, and Managing Director of CIDCO, said – “CIDCO’s Mass Housing Scheme 2022 has received an overwhelming response. The deadline for submitting the applications has been extended to allow sufficient time for submitting documents and payment of the EMD amount. This will provide an added window to the citizens who are willing to apply,”

The town planning authority had launched the mass housing scheme of 5,730 houses on January 26, 2022. Under this scheme, 5,730 apartments have been made available in the rapidly developing Taloja node in Navi Mumbai.

Out of the total 5,730 houses, 1,524 houses are available for the economically weaker sections (EWS) under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), and the remaining 4,206 houses are for the people of the general category.

According to the newly revised schedule, online registration can be completed by March 10, 2022. After completion of registration, the online application and online payment process must be completed by March 11, 2022.

The draft list of shortlisted applicants will be published on March 17, 2022, and the final list of accepted applicants will be released on March 21, 2022, on CIDCO’s official website. The computerized draw for the housing scheme will be held on March 25, 2022.

Further, Taloja Node is one of the fastest-growing nodes within Navi Mumbai. The Mumbai-Pune Highway, Railways, and CIDCO’s Navi Mumbai Metro project foster the node with robust connectivity. The Metro Depot for the Navi Mumbai Metro will also be established at Taloja, and the node will be connected to the CBD Belapur node via the metro.
